In large retailers, category assortments are not always the same in every region of the country. It is helpful for vendors to know which products are "active" for a retailer, but are only in a handful of stores. Retailers typically test products in a select few stores, so seeing the products that are being regionally tested can indicate a future chain wide rollout. We provide the entire category listing for your selected product category and we notate how many stores the product is in, as well as provide a list of the active stores carrying that item.

Our data API's refresh our database when you request the data. This means that you are ensured to get accurate pricing data for each store on the same day that you request the data. We guarantee that the pricing data is accurate for the date that we send you the data.

We will send you two separate files in Excel (.csv) format. One file will list all of the products and the store counts for each product. The second file will list each product and the stores that carry it on a separate line. These two formats should give you all the information that you need to manipulate the data to get the insights you are looking for. We can also send you a sample dataset to give you an example of what you will be receiving.

Most vendors only supply retailers in a few categories. Our approach is to only give data for the specific categories or retailers that a vendor is interested in. Although we have data for 1200+ product categories across multiple retail chains, most of our customers are only interested in 4-5 product categories at a time.
